With an ardent interest in the realm of spiritualism, at the age of twelve I began to study the world's great religions. During my late teens I became a devotee of yoga with an active daily practice complete with meditation. I immersed myself in the adjacent study of mysticism and began daily readings notably of Thomas Merton’s introspections on the resonance between eastern and western spirituality.
At this time I began to see colors and lights or in other words the electro magnetic fields of energy that create our auras. Accompanying this would also be feelings and information regarding the person.
Originally from Rochester, New York, I had an extensive background in music performance. Years later I experienced dramatic changes that affected my life; I decided to move to Florida.
In May of 2000, I graduated from Florida School of Massage, which was an extremely positive experience. I finally had achieved a long time goal to become a massage therapist.
As a massage therapist I have specialized in integrating Connective tissue, Swedish, Neuromuscular/trigger point and Reflexology modalities into my sessions. Having completed my certification in Traditional Massage of Thailand, (Sarasota School of Massage, May, 2005) I offer this modality also. I often incorporate aspects of Thai Massage into a regular table session since the techniques are so effective.
In the fall of 2004 I attended Argosy University to pursue a Master’s Degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, which I completed in August of 2006. This marked a goal I had set for myself twenty years earlier when I found it necessary to withdraw in 1987, from Nazareth College in Rochester, New York.
Obtaining my master's degree allowed me the opportunity to study the most successful methods and philosophies of education that actually work. This experience placed me indirect contact with professionals as I designed workshops and programs to teach.
With my on-going practice as a massage therapist and my continual studies, my abilities are continually being refined and expanded upon.
Awareness is a key word for me, as are the words flow and intention. When we connect with these energies in a healing session we enter into multiple dimensions. These dimension of reality are not often explored in our culture. Yet this is definetly changing.
During massage sessions I “see” with my hands the certain colors of an individual’s aura. During sessions I may also receive information on particular chakras and or information that can be helpful to the individual I am working with.
As we move into such an exciting time to be alive I am happy to have arrived at this place to offer my talents to serve you.
Tiger Thai Massage is pleased to offer a variety of services including; Thai Massage, Reflexology, Aura, Chakra, and Crystal healing sessions. Tiger Thai will also be offering presentation/workshops which will be scheduled at various times during the year.
